Chicago Rain Barrel uses 50-60 gallon food grade barrels, previously
used to store pickles, olives and syrups. If not converted to rain barrels,
many of these barrels would end up in our landfills.

Wide Overflow
Our best selling rain barrel is our Wide Overflow. An internal
90 degree PVC (1-1/2") pipe -- connected to an external wide hose,
excess water is channeled away from the buildings foundation.

During heavy downpours, rain barrels fill faster than a garden
hose overflow can output excess water. Water can overflow
through the top and puddle by your foundation. Over time this
can damage substructures.
Our Wide Overflow model, with it's double capacity (as compared
